PATRICK SWENSON

♦ Patrick is a high school English teacher and has taught for 26 years. His first novel, The Ultra Thin Man, is forthcoming from Tor Books in 2014. He is a graduate of the Clarion West Writer's Workshop and has a story forthcoming in the anthology Like Water for Quarks. He has had stories published at Marion Zimmer Bradley's Fantasy Magazine, Figment, Northwest Writers, and others. He is currently working on a novel.

♦ In 1995 he began Talebones magazine, which published 39 issues over 14 years, coming to an end in 2009.

♦ Patrick began the Rainforest Writers Village in 2007. This annual writing retreat is held at Lake Quinault in the Olympic Peninsula.

♦ He is the proud poppa of ten-year-old Orion Avery. They live in Bonney Lake, Washington in the Seattle/Tacoma area.
